1.畜牧养殖户常见的鸡病之——鸡大肠杆菌病
鸡大肠杆菌病是由大肠埃希氏杆菌所引起的，它并不是具体的指代某种病症，而是一系列疾病的综合叫法。主要发病症状有：心包炎、肝周炎等脏器的炎症。
鸡大肠杆菌病的预防措施有：减小鸡的饲养密度，定期消毒，保证饮水和饲料的清洁等。治疗鸡大肠杆菌病一般使用新霉素、庆大霉素及呋喃等类药物进行治疗，在雏鸡开食的时候加入此类药物，还能起到一定的预防作用。
2.畜牧养殖户常见的鸡病之——鸡传染性支气管炎
鸡传染性支气管炎是由传染性支气管炎病毒引起的，是一种急性可传染的呼吸道疾病。主要发病症状有：咳嗽、气管啰音、打喷嚏等。
鸡传染性支气管炎的预防措施有：3日到5日日龄的雏鸡免疫，可以用疫苗滴鼻或者使用加倍剂量饮水，1月到2月日龄时，需要再次使用疫苗进行加倍免疫。目前，鸡传染性支气管炎并没有效果非常好的药物可以治疗，发病早期可以使用抗生素防止激发感染的产生。
3.畜牧养殖户常见的鸡病之——禽霍乱
禽霍乱由是多杀性巴氏杆菌引起的，是一种可以感染鸡、鸭、鹅等禽类的急性传染病。主要发病症状有：严重的下痢和败血症(急性);肉髯水肿和关节炎(慢性)。
禽霍乱的预防措施有：做好饲养管理和卫生防疫。30日龄的雏鸡可肌肉注射禽霍乱灭活疫苗进行免疫。治疗的话，可选择抗生素、磺胺类药物、喹乙醇等药物。
4.畜牧养殖户常见的鸡病之——传染性法氏囊炎
鸡传染性法氏囊炎是由传染性法氏囊炎病毒引起的，一旦发病并失控，对养鸡户的危害非常之大。主要发病症状有：头下垂，精神差，羽毛蓬，眼睑闭，排白色或者浅绿色稀粪，后而衰竭死亡。
鸡传染性法氏囊炎的预防措施有：加强鸡舍消毒，供给充足的饮水，在饮水中添加5%的糖和0.1%的食盐，这样可以提高鸡群的抗病能力。1日到7日日龄的雏鸡用弱毒疫苗进行一次饮水免疫;24日日龄的鸡群再进行一次免疫。
5.畜牧养殖户常见的鸡病之——鸡新城疫
鸡新城疫是由新城疫病毒引起的，对我国养鸡业危害很大，因为这种疾病死亡率高很高。主要发病症状有：蛋鸡产蛋停止，精神差、腹泻、咳喘、呼吸困难、排绿色粪便、头部和面部肿大等。
鸡新城疫的预防措施有：加强消毒工作，及时隔离发病鸡;3日日龄的雏鸡选用新支二联疫苗进行滴鼻免疫，10日日龄的鸡用单克隆疫苗进行饮水免疫，30日日龄需要重复免疫一次，60日日龄的鸡群注射I系疫苗进行免疫。
6.畜牧养殖户常见的鸡病之——鸡白痢
鸡白痢该病是由沙门氏菌引起的，主要发病群体是2周到3周日龄的雏鸡。主要发病症状有：鸡翅垂、鸡羽乱、喜蹲伏、食欲废绝、精神差、排黄白色或者绿色的粪便。
鸡白痢的预防措施有：加强消毒工作，及时隔离发病鸡;引进雏鸡要选择无白痢的种鸡场引进;一旦发病，应及时使用环丙沙星、氟哌酸或恩诺沙星等进行饮水治疗。
